OBJECTIVE
The aim of the Master of design in Design Management is not only to utilize design as a managerial resource, but also to foster the designer’s ability to manage new product development, branding, image making and global marketing in the area of business strategy. The ultimate goal of study is to create designers who can successfully manage global competitiveness with design quality.
In particular, IDAS has attracted the interest of Korean chief executive officers in various design organizations through its New Millennium Course, and these CEOs in turn have acted as mentors to many IDAS students. The program also benchmarks design management and strategy of internationally renowned design firms.
Graduates of the Design Management program will contribute to companies competitiveness by playing important roles in the planning and management of design strategy for product planning and branding. Furthermore, graduates will contribute to the industry as a management professionals to creative industry sectors such as those within the areas of consumer goods, fashion, textiles, characters, animation, music and film.
