  ※ 특히 일반대학원, 전문대학원의 2026년 8월 졸업예정자는 반드시 정정 바랍니다.

  ※ 영문 이름을 정정하지 않은 상태에서  영문 학위기가 발행될 경우, 영문 학위기는 재발행이 절대 불가능하므로 반드시 기간 내 

  확인·수정하기 바랍니다.

3. 정정 신청 방법

 - 홍익대학교 대학원 클래스넷 > 개인정보 > [영문 이름 정정 신청] 메뉴 이용

 - 기 입력된 영문이름을 확인하고 필요한 경우 정정 신청함

 - 정정할 때에는 반드시 여권에 사용된 영문 성명을 기준으로 정정함 

   ※ 성과 이름의 순서로, 전체 대문자로 쓰며, 이름은 띄어 쓰는 것을 원칙으로 함

      예) HONG GIL DONG

      (여권에 없는 외국 이름을 임의로 포함시킬 수 없으며, 필요한 경우 대학원 교학팀에서 증빙을 요청할 수 있음) 

4. 정정 승인 

 - 신청 후 확인 작업을 거쳐 ‘승인’이 나면 각종 영문증명서 및 학위기에 적용함

5. 정정 확인

 - 신청 완료 후 교학팀에서 승인이 이루어져야 변경된 영문명이 보임

 - 7.29.(수) 이후 클래스넷에서 재확인 부탁드립니다.

Notice on English Name Correction for the Issuance of English Degree Certificates

Correction Period: July 16–27, 2026

Students who have passed the thesis or individual research project examination in the Spring Semester of the 2026 academic year, as well as those who are expected to graduate by completing the required coursework (scheduled graduation date: August 21, 2026), are requested to verify their English name in ClassNet during the period below and submit a correction request if necessary.

Please note:

• Students in the General Graduate School and Professional Graduate Schools who are expected to graduate in August 2026 must verify and, if necessary, correct their English name.
• If an English degree certificate is issued with an incorrect English name, it cannot be reissued under any circumstances. Please be sure to review and correct your information within the designated period.
• Although Special Graduate School students are not issued English degree certificates, they should still verify their English name to ensure the accuracy of future English academic transcripts and certificates.

1. Correction Period

July 16 (Thu) – July 27 (Mon), 2026

2. Eligibility

Current graduate students, students on leave of absence, and students who have completed coursework at Hongik University Graduate School.

Please note that corrections through ClassNet are permitted only once.

3. How to Apply

• Log in to Hongik University Graduate School ClassNet.
• Go to Personal Information > English Name Correction Request.
• Verify your registered English name and submit a correction request if necessary.
• Your English name must exactly match the name shown on your passport.

Formatting Guidelines

• Write your name in the order of Surname, Given Name.
• 
  
• Use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
• Leave a space between given names.

You may not add foreign names or other names that do not appear on your passport. The Graduate School Academic Affairs Office may request supporting documentation if necessary.

4. Approval Process

After your request is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Graduate School. Once approved, the corrected English name will be used on all English academic certificates and the English degree certificate.

5. Confirmation

• Your English name will be updated only after the Graduate School Academic Affairs Office approves your request.
• Please log in to ClassNet and verify the updated information after Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
